Congratulations to Miroslav Molchanov! The soloist of the St. Petersburg Opera became a laureate of the first degree at the All-Russian Open Competition of Performing Arts named after M. M. Ippolitov-Ivanov in the nomination “Academic Vocal”.
The idea of the Ippolitov-Ivanov Competition-Festival was born in the mid-90s of the 20th century. Until 2014, the competition-festival was regularly held on the basis of the M. Ippolitov-Ivanov State Music and Pedagogical Institute, and managed to gain great prestige and was widely in demand among the professional environment of musicians and music teachers.
The year of 2019 marked the 160th anniversary of the birth of M. Ippolitov-Ivanov, and in 2019–2020. Jubilee celebrations are held in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Musical Pedagogical Institute named after him. In this regard, the Russian Performing Arts Foundation, with the assistance of the Ippolitov-Ivanov State Museum of Fine Arts, made a decision to modernize the concept of the competition-festival and expand its boundaries.
In its updated form, it received the name "All-Russian Open Competition Festival of the Performing Arts Named after M. Ippolitov-Ivanov".
