The Hungarian government has declared a state of emergency to combat the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Due to this reason, the tour of the theatre in Budapest from March 28 to 29, 2020 is canceled.
In Hungary, 13 cases of coronavirus infection have been reported. The authorities of this country previously announced the cancellation of the festive ceremony in Budapest on March 15 in front of the Hungarian National Museum on the occasion of the national holiday - the day of the beginning of the revolution and the liberation struggle of 1848-1849. Now the Hungarian authorities have decided to ban large-scale mass events in the premises with the participation of more than 100 people and outdoor events with the participation of more than 500 people.
Tour in Estonia scheduled for April 11-12 is also canceled due to the spread of coronavirus. The Estonian Government has introduced a state of emergency; the regime will remain in effect until May 1, unless the government changes its decision. The St. Petersburg Opera was supposed to present in Tallinn two productions by Yuri Alexandrov “Esmeralda” (A. Dargomyzhsky) and “L’elisir d’amore” by G. Donizetti.
