‘Die Entführung aus dem Serail’. Prior to St. Petersburg premiere

Last year, the Warsaw Chamber Opera company was one of the participants of the International Chamber Opera Festival initiated by the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera. Polish artists have brought for the festival the staging of Hendel’s ‘Imeneo’ having surprised the audience by high quality and artistry. Professional engagement of the Warsaw Chamber Opera and St. Petersburg chamber music theatre has been continuing this year with a new form of cooperation. It was decided to stage Mozart’s opera ‘Die Entführung aus dem Serail’ in Warsaw at first and then to show it in St. Petersburg.
The premiere of Mozart’s ‘Die Entführung aus dem Serail’, staged by Peoples’ Artist of Russia Yuri Alexandrov at the Warsaw Chamber Opera, is on April 20th. Conductor – Marcin Sompoliński. Scenographer – Paweł Dobrzycki in cooperation with Katarzyna Gabrat-Szymańska. Choreographer – Natalia Madejczyk. Director’s assistant is Tatiana Karpacheva. Conductor’s assistant is Agata Zając.
Petersburg premiere of ‘Die Entführung aus dem Serail’ in St. Petersburg Chamber Opera is scheduled for May 30th.
