On 12th and 13th of November, the troupe of the 'St. Petersburg Opera' under the direction of Yuri Alexandrov will perform in Tallinn on the stage of the Estonian National Opera.
The tour of the Petersburg troupe will begin with the romantic operetta ‘Les Cloches de Corneville’ by Robert Planquette (this is how the creators of the performance defined the genre of the play). The following evening, guests and residents of the Estonian capital will be able to listen to W.A.Mozart’s opera ‘Die Entführung aus dem Serail’.
Estonia is one of the constant touring destinations of the 'St. Petersburg Chamber Opera'. Last year in July, the collective of Yuri Alexandrov with great success represented on the stage of the National Opera of Estonia ‘Die Fledermaus' by Johann Strauss II, 'Rigoletto' by Giuseppe Verdi and ‘Les pêcheurs de perles’ by Georges Bizet.
In 2016, 'St. Petersburg Opera' participated in Pärnu Opera Days, where for the first time in Estonia the playful melodrama by Gaetano Donizetti ‘Pietro il Grande Zar di Tutte le Russe’ was shown, as well as Rodion Shchedrin's opera 'Not Only Love'.
