In the costumed gala concert leading soloists and orchestra of the St. Petersburg Opera will take part. Talented soloists and musicians who today not only occupy high positions in the international music rankings, but also shape the Russian performing tradition of the present and future.
Die Csárdásfürstin
Die Csárdásfürstin is one of the most popular works by E. Kalman. The original name of the operetta did not take root in Russia, since the premiere on the Russian stage took place at the height of the First World War. The Russian title Sylva is commonly used in the country. An interesting fact: the success of the premiere, both in Vienna and in St. Petersburg, was such that the performance became one of the most noisy theatrical events on both sides of the front - both in Russia and in Austria-Hungary. According to the plot, Sylva, a variety show star, loves the young aristocrat Edwin, but their marriage is impossible, since the prince cannot marry a chansonette. The events of the play unfold around this love story.
