On the 30th of September theatre 'The St. Petersburg Opera' under the direction of Yuri Alexandrov will perform in Petrozavodsk, on the stage of the Musical theatre of the Republic of Karelia.
In the morning (at 11.00) the chamber theatre 'St. Petersburg Opera' will perform with one of the best children's performances of St. Petersburg, a musical fairy tale ‘Puss in Boots’ (by César Cui) with singing and dancing. At 19.00 Robert Planquette's operetta ‘Les cloches de Corneville' will be presented to Karelian public. With this performance 'St. Petersburg Opera' will take part in the Festival of musical theatres of Russia 'See Music' in Moscow next month.
The theatre 'St. Petersburg Opera' and its Artistic director Yuri Alexandrov have long-term friendly and creative relations together with the Musical theatre of the Republic of Karelia. The best performances of 'The St. Petersburg Opera' regularly being presented to the local audience and guests of Petrozavodsk. Yuri Alexandrov has set such masterpieces of the world opera on the stage of the Musical theatre of Karelia as 'Eugene Onegin' and 'The Queen of Spades' by Tchaikovsky, 'Carmen' by Georges Bizet, Puccini's 'Madama Butterfly', Donizetti's ‘L'elisir d'amore', Rossini's ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia' and Verdi's 'La Traviata'.
On the 30th of September following artists will perform on the stage of the Musical theatre of Karelia:
Honored Artist of Russia Victor Aleshkov, laureates of international awards Karolina Shapovalova, Yulia Ptitsyna, Svetlana Arzumanova, Isabella Bazina, Yevgeny Nagovitsyn, Dmitry Udi, Anton Morozov, Ivan Sapunov, Natalia Pleshkova, Alexandra Zarubina, Denis Akhmetshin, Leonty Salensky, Alexander Koryakov and Evgeny Solodovnikov.
The morning performance will be conducted by Robert Luther.
The second performance will be conducted by Alexander Goichman.
