“Tosca” by The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera in Pskov tour
The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera is well known by Pskov audience. The company has repeatedly presented their best performances there.
On December 12, the company of the State Chamber Musical Theater “The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera" will perform “Tosca”, a suspenseful musical drama by Giacomo Puccini in the Great Hall of Pskov Philharmonic.
“Tosca”, one of the most performed operas in the world, has been staged by Yuri Aleksandrov, People's Artist of Russia and art director of The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera. His ground-breaking interpretation gives the classic story new meanings. The productions was also prepared by set designer Vyacheslav Okunev who has a great experience with a number of foreign theaters. The play is performed by leading soloists of The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera including Victor Aleshkov, Honored Artist of Russia as well as Elena Severina, Sergey Kalinov, Anton Morozov, Oleg Mitsov, Efim Rastorguyev, winners of national and international competitions.
