Alexander Goikhman

Alexander Goikhman was born in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. He graduated from the faculty of folk instruments, button accordion of the Krasnoyarsk State University (class of professor S.F.  Nayko). He is also an alumnus of Opera and Symphony faculty of the Novosibirsk State Conservatory named after M. Glinka (doctorate in the class of professor A.M. Katz)

From 1995 until 1997 was a prompter and conductor's assistant in Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre
In 1997-1998 was carrying out the military service and he was a member of a brass band
From 1998 until 2000 was a conductor in Novosibirsk Theatre of Musical Comedy
In 2000-2001 was a conductor of the symphony orchestra at Barnaul Philharmonic
From 2001-2006 was a conductor in Novosibirsk Theatre of Musical Comedy
In 2006-2008 was a conductor in the Perm Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre
Since 2008 Alexander Goikhman is a conductor in the State Chamber Music Theatre ‘St. Petersburg Opera’
Since 2017 is a Guest Conductor in Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Glinka

Alexander Goikhman is a laureate of the All-Russian Competition (Astrakhan) and a diploma winner of the International North Cup Competition (Cherepovets). In 2004, the performance “Some Like It Hot” of the Novosibirsk Musical Comedy Theatre conducted by Goikhman was awarded the “Golden Mask” Russian National Theatre Award as “The Best Performance” in the operetta. In the spring of 2018, the conductor was awarded the Prize of the Government of St. Petersburg in the field of literature, art and architecture in the nomination “Theatre Art” for the performance “October ..17”.

Alexander Goikhman performed with symphony concerts in the Philharmonics of Kislovodsk, Vladivostok, Barnaul, Khabarovsk, Tambov and Tomsk. Alexander Goikhman is the
conductor of the productions at the Chamber Musical Theatre "St. Petersburg Opera": "Pagliacci", "La Boheme", "Betrothal in a Monastery", "Cavalleria rusticana" (laureate of the Highest Theatre Award “Golden Sofit”), “L’eslisir d’amore”, “Il barbiere di Siviglia”,“ October..17 ”,“Les Cloches de Corneville”,“Die Csárdásfürstin”.
