Nina Zhukovskaya

Nina Zhukovskaya was born in Leningrad. She is an alumnus of Leningrad Conservatory named after N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov. 

In 1971 Nina Zhukovskaya attended acting classes at the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (workshops of Merkuriev, Agamirzyan, Andrushkevich) 
Since 1977 she is a soloist and concertmaster at the Lenconcert Philharmonic Department 
Since 1991 Zhukovskaya is a leading concertmaster of the 'St. Petersburg Chamber Opera Theatre' 

Nina Zhukovskaya took part in production of plays of the theatre’s repertoire: ‘Eugene Onegin’ (by P.Tchaikovsky), ‘Don Giovanni, ossia Il dissoluto punito’ (by W.A.Mozart), ‘Il barbiere di Siviglia’ (by G.Rossini), ‘Pietro il Grande zar di tutte le Russie’ (by G.Donizetti), ‘Rigoletto’ (by G.Verdi), ‘Madama Butterfly’, ‘La Bohème’, ‘Tosca’ (by G.Puccini), ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’ (by P.Mascagni), ‘Les Cloches de Corneville’ (by R.Planquette) and ‘Die Fledermaus’ (by J.Strauss II). 

She has worked on many chamber programs, including programs dedicated to Sergei Rakhmaninov, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Valery Gavrilin, Dmitry Shostakovich, as well as the night of Russian romances and etc. 

Together with soloists she participated in contests named after M.I. Glinka, N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, Elena Obraztsova and Queen Sofia in Norway. 

She collaborated with such conductors as: Mikhail Vinogradov, Vadim Afanasyev, Maxim Valkov, Alexander Goikhman, Robert Luther. 

Nina Zhukovskaya has been on tours in Finland, the United States, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
