Tour in Jekabpils


The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera closed its season with the performance at the Jekabpils festival where it presented “Die Fledermaus” by Johann Strauss. 

The Latvian audience greeted The Chamber Opera festival performance with thunderous applause. 
A reporter of Jēkabpilslaiks news portal asked the audience about their impression of the St. Petersburg artists playing. The answers were unanimous: "the play gives a lot of positive emotions", "every year the theatre pleases us bringing a new production to the festival", "a beautiful, light and pleasant show." 
The great performance of the St. Petersburg artists was also appreciated by the media. "The merry Strauss operetta as directed by Alexandrov, gained a new contemporary touch", one of the publications read. ”A lot of critics noted that, apart from singing, the artists are pretty good at dancing, too".
