A press conference dedicated to new Serbian-Russian cultural projects will be held on October 29 at 14:00 at the Culture of St. Petersburg media center of the Institute of Cultural Programs (60 Nekrasova St.).
The event will feature Dejan Savić, Conductor and Cultural Advisor to the President of Serbia.
Dejan Savić's visit to the Northern Capital is a significant event in the context of developing Russian-Serbian cultural ties. The maestro will take part in the 25th International Week of Conservatories festival. However, the main purpose of his visit is to prepare for a large-scale Serbian premiere of P.I. Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin, scheduled for 2026 on the stage of the National Theatre in Belgrade.
The production will be a creative collaboration with Yuri Alexandrov, Stage Director, Founder and Artistic Director of the St. Petersburg Opera Theatre, and People's Artist of Russia. The performance is planned to become part of the permanent repertoire of the Belgrade stage.
In recognition of his personal contribution to the development of Russian-Serbian cultural ties, Dejan Savić was awarded a departmental award from Rossotrudnichestvo in 2025 — the Honorary Badge "For Active Work in Developing International Humanitarian Cooperation." The award was presented by Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, the Russian Ambassador to Serbia.
