The St. Petersburg Opera Theatre plans to open a second stage
Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and artistic director and founder of the St. Petersburg Opera, People's Artist of Russia Yuri Alexandrov discussed the possibility of opening the second stage of the theatre.
“St. Petersburg Opera is one of the leading theatres in St. Petersburg. Each performance of this theatre is a bright event in the cultural life of our city. It is necessary to develop such centers of culture and creativity,” said Alexander Beglov.
At the meeting, it was decided to select alternative venues that the theatre can use as a second stage site, since the hall at 33 Galernaya Street is designed for only 170 spectators, so it cannot always welcome everyone.
