A concert by the “Artnovi” chamber orchestra

On March 02, 2020 at 19.00, a concert by the “Artnovi” chamber orchestra will take place on the stage of the St. Petersburg Opera. Admission is free by invitation. Tickets distributed through social service centers.”Artnovi” soloist ensemble was founded in 2015. All members of the collective are professionals with many years of experience in the best orchestras. “Artnovi” performs with great success at the main concert venues in Moscow, as well as in the largest concert halls in St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yaroslavl, Ivanovo, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Lipetsk, Tyumen, Ulan-Ude, Vladimir and other cities.

In the concert soloists David Geringas (cello), Dali Gutserieva (cello) and Adam Gutseriev (piano) will take part. Conductor - David Geringas.

David Geringas is a Lithuanian cellist, conductor, teacher. A successful career as a musician has been going on for several decades. His discography contains about a hundred recordings, many of which have been awarded with prizes and awards, including the Grand Prix du Disque, Diapason d’Or and the German Recording Critics Association Award. In 2013, Geringas received the Echo Klassik Award for the best recording of chamber works of the 20th - 21st centuries, and in 2014 - for the best recording of chamber works of the 19th century. In 2008-2011, the cellist released eight albums, including two world premieres (“Song of David” by Anatolius Shenderovas and Discorsi Vytautas Laurushas), as well as works for cello and piano by Rachmaninov, Mendelssohn, Chopin and all compositions for Beethoven’s cello and piano. The latest disc was awarded the Gramophone Award. As a conductor, Geringas regularly performs in Germany and abroad, at some concerts in a double role - soloist and conductor. In 2005-2008, he was the main guest conductor of the Kyushu Philharmonic Orchestra, and in 2007 he made his debut with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Chinese Philharmonic Orchestra. In February 2009, Geringas made his debut as a conductor with the Moscow Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and in 2015 with the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra in St. Petersburg. In 2010, he made his debut on the opera stage (Eugene Onegin in Klaipeda). In 2015, he became the musical director and conductor of the production of the ballet Egle, Queen of Snakes by Eduardas Balsis in Vilnius.

 

For the propaganda of music by Lithuanian composers, Geringas repeatedly received the highest awards in his homeland. He was also awarded the German Great Cross of the I class. David Geringas is an honorary professor at the Moscow Conservatory and the Central Conservatory of Beijing, an honorary doctor at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. In the 2014–2015 season, he became a visiting professor at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles and the Manhattan School of Music in New York. In 2016, the musician celebrates his 70th anniversary.

 

He performed with the largest orchestras in the world - the Berlin Philharmonic, the Hamburg Symphony, the Bamberg Symphony, the London Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, the NHK Symphony Orchestra and others, under the direction of prominent conductors from Michael Gilen and Wolfgang Sawallisch to Semyon Bychkov. In St. Petersburg cooperated with a well-deserved team led by Yuri Temirkanov, and Valery Gergiev at the Mariinsky Theater. He played in ensembles with G. Kremer, K. Kashkashyan, Nobuko Imai, V. Tretyakov, D. Sitkovetsky, Y. Nemtsov, Baiba Skride and other instrumentalists. As a conductor, he worked with orchestras in Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan, and China. 

The winner of the 2012 International Cello Competition named after Sergei Knushevitsky, Dali Gutserieva is one of the most talented cellists of the young generation of Russian musicians. Specialists note unique sound and excellent technique she possesses. Dali Gutserieva collaborates with the State Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and David Geringas. She performs as a soloist in Finland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy and other countries.

 

Adam Gutseriev became the winner of the VII International Amigdala Competition for Young Pianists in Italy in 2017, when he was only 11 years, and in June 2018 he already performed with the Danish Royal Orchestra and maestro Alexander Vedernikov as part of the orchestra's tour in Moscow.
