On April 26, 2020, in a live broadcast of the Tatar National Television Channel (TNV), the laureates of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after G. Tukay were announced. Director Yuri Alexandrov, Renat Salavatov (music director and conductor), Victor Gerasimenko (production designer), Gulnora Gatina (in the role of Syuyumbike) were awarded the prize for staging R.Akhiyarova's opera “Syuyumbike” (2018) on stage of Musa Jalil Tatar State Opera and Ballet Theatre.more
The St. Petersburg Opera joins celebration of a special date for our country – The Victory Day which is held on 9th of May. On April 19, the St. Petersburg Opera within the framework of the project #nointermission (Russian: #безантракта) presents G. Bizet’s opera Les pêcheurs de perles. The performance was shown on the stage of the Astana Opera on November 10, 2019 as part of a tour in Kazakhstan. Due to the extension of non-working days in Russian Federation until April 30, online broadcasts of the gala concert "Masterpieces of World Classics" and the opera "Puss in Boots" by C. Cui, which supposed to be held as part of the project #nointermission (Russian: #безантракта) on April 06 and 11, have been cancelled.
