Artistic director of the theatre and People's Artist of Russia Yuri Alexandrov will take a word within the press conference about upcoming creative plans for the Thirty third season. Among them are the premiere performances of “Esmeralda” by A.Dargomyzhsky, “Elektra” by R.Strauss, “Der Vampyr” by H.Marschner and upcoming touring performances. The thirty-second theatre season of the St.Petersburg Opera was fruitful. In the repertoire of the theatre appeared "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" by W.A.Mozart, " Die Csárdásfürstin " by E.Kalman and plays for children. These are the world premieres of the operas by C.Cui “Puss in Boots” and “Little Red Riding Hood”.

At the press conference, director of the theatre Evgeny Malygin will present the program of the IV International Chamber Opera Festival, which will be held on the stage of the theatre from September 29 to November 01, 2019. The first Festival, which was arranged in 2016, became a significant cultural event of the international level. Unique European and Russian collectives brought joy to the people who cherish opera in Saint Petersburg. This year the Festival will bring together guests from Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan (Russia). By tradition, the St. Petersburg Opera Theatre will open and close the festival.
The musical surprise of the press conference will be the presentation of a unique harp from the company Resonance Harps. This model cannot be found in stores and salons, since in the last few years a Petersburg company has manufactured only three such instruments. Two of them were commissioned by the Conservatory of Parma, and one for the St. Petersburg Opera. At the press conference, fragments of the operas will be performed by the laureate of international competitions Elizaveta Alexandrova (harp) and leading soloists of the theatre.
