The Fourth International Chamber Opera Festival is being held in St.Petersburg from September 29 to November 01, 2019. The uniqueness of this Festival lies in its participants. This year we will greet musical collectives from Russia and Europe, and the playbill contains diverse chamber program encompassing significant works of a large historical period -  from baroque opera to great composer names of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Most of the collectives and their productions will be shown in St. Petersburg for the first time.

On July 28, 2019, the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera Theatre concludes its thirty-second season. Ticket office will be closed from July 29 to August 28, 2019.

Dear spectators! Since September 2019, guided tours in the mansion of Baron von Derviz will be resumed again. The next tour will take place on September 27, 2019 at 16.45.

At the beginning of May, the troupe of the St. Petersburg Opera Theatre goes on tour to Serbia to perform on the two leading stages of Belgrade at the National Theatre and at Madlenianum Opera & Theatre.

On 23rd and 24th of March 2019 the premiere of 'Little Red Riding Hood' by César Cui will be presented on the stage of Chamber Music Theatre 'St. Petersbug Opera'.

Artistic Director of the 'St. Petersburg Opera' Theatre, People’s Artist of Russia Yuri Alexandrov will resume Gaetano Donizetti’s early opera 'Pietro il Grande zar di tutte le Russie'. About this decision, the director commented on the appeal of the Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky to theatrical figures about the preparations for the celebration of the 350th anniversary of birth of Peter the Great (1672-1725).

The premiere of the opera by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov 'Tsar's Bride' was presented on 25th of Janury 2019 at the Estonian National Opera. For the production of the play, the director from St. Petersburg, People's Artist of Russia Yuri Alexandrov was invited. The main innovation in the production was the relocation of the 'Tsar's Bride' to 1945, reports Estonian television.
