In the first days of June The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera goes on tour to Tallinn to present the best performances of its rich and diverse repertoire.
The theatre returns to Estonia after one year. Last summer, The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera participated in Pärnu Opera Days with the Estonian premiere of Peter I, or the Incredible Adventures of the Russian Tsar, a playful melodrama by Gaetano Donizetti and Not Love Alone by Rodion Shchedrin.
This June, appearing at Estonian National Opera in Tallinn, the theatre will perform Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss's (June 4), Les pêcheurs de perles by Georges Bizet (June 5), and Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi (June 6). All the performances were staged by Yury Alexandrov, the artistic director of The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera and People's Artist of Russia.
