The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera wins Onegin Award


An awarding ceremony for Onegin, the first national opera award, has been held in St. Petersburg. The jury, chaired by People's Artist of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, State prize laureate Sergei Leiferkus chose the best performers in twelve categories. 

A special jury prize has been awarded to Young Guard, a performance by Yuri Alexandrov based on the opera by Julius Meytus. 
The performance was presented by The St. Petersburg Chamber Opera on February 23, 2016 as the second part of To remember, the diptych continuing the talk about the present, which was started with Crimea staged to the music by Marian Koval.
