Government prize awarded to Yuri Alexandrov


New achievements of St. Petersburg writers, artists and architects have been awarded with St. Petersburg Government prizes “For outstanding contribution to the development of culture and art.” According to the tradition, the prize was awarded in May, on the eve of the City Day celebrations. 

This year the Government Prize “For achievements in music and performing arts” was awarded to the artistic director of the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera Yuri Alexandrov for staging operas “Not Only Love” by Rodion Shchedrin and “Crimea” based on the opera “Sevastopol residents” by Marian Koval.
