15 March: Solo Concert of Natalya Vorobyeva (mezzo-soprano)


The recital of the leading soloist of the Chamber Music Theatre ‘St. Petersburg Opera’ and laureate of international contests Natalya Vorobyeva (mezzo-soprano) will be dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of Modest Mussorgsky. The concert will feature the vivid scenes from the composer's operas ‘Boris Godunov’ and ‘Khovanshchina’, as well as vocal recitals in which the Russian soul and Russian history are expressed as eloquently as in the epoch-making musical masterpieces. The romances and the song cycle ‘Songs and Dances of Death’ by Mussorgsky included in the program of the recital amaze with its expressiveness and deep passion. Even these days, they have no analogues in this genre and sound fresh and innovative in a truly talented performance. The concert will be a celebration of music full of deep spiritual experiences and high insights. 

Leading soloists of the 'St. Petersburg Opera' take part in the concert: Honoured artist of Russia Victor Aleshkov (tenor) and laureate of international contests Svetlana Arzumanova (soprano).
The accompanist is Maria Kustanovich.
