For the 70 anniversary of the Great Victory

The soloists and orchestra of the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera dedicated the performance to those who passed through the grim years of the Great Patriotic War. Among the total horror of the war these soulful songs saved, perhaps, many lives of those who came face to face with death. A song became a symbol of a living word and of the life in general.

The young artists performed the war songs that are handed down from generation to generation as spiritual heritage. The second part of the concert featured beautiful melodies of classical operettas.
That day the concert was attended by war veterans and residents of besieged Leningrad.
